NEAT electronics drive – MONDAY!

The North Toronto Environmental Action team is hosting an electronics drive Monday December 14 at lunch. We are asking for students to bring in old electronics (phones, computers, printers) and used batteries and in exchange they will receive free baked good. Our goal is to properly dispose of the electronics and reduce the amount of waste we as a school create. So please bring in old electronics next Monday December 14 and you’ll receive free baked goods!

Turkey lunch on December 9

The cafeteria will be serving a delicious Holiday  Meal (oven roast turkey dinner gravy, stuffing, mashed potatoes, steamed vegatables, and a special treat) on Wednesday December 9th.

Remembrance Day fundraising

Thank you to staff and students for their generosity during the Remembrance Day Campaign. We raised $617.35 for the poppy drive, $100 for the True Patriot Love Foundation (for the legacies of Cpl. Nathan Cirillo and P.O. Patrice Vincent) & $100 for the Veterans Wing of Sunnybrook Hospital.

Schedule Changes for next week

As you are aware, the Ontario Secondary School Teachers’ Federation, the union that represents high school teachers, began a local withdrawal of selected services starting on November 4, 2015.

As a result of this job action, we will no longer be following the late start schedule currently in place for Wednesday, November 25 and Friday, November 27. Classes will revert back to the regular class day schedule on these dates, meaning school will start at 9:00 a.m. and end at 3:15 p.m.

We will continue to monitor the situation as it unfolds and are committed to doing everything possible to ensure the integrity of the learning day.

Thank you for your understanding. We will continue to provide information as it becomes available. Please checkwww.tdsb.on.ca/labour<http://www.tdsb.on.ca/labour> for more information and a full list of withdrawn services.

Sincerely,

Joel Gorenkoff
