Spring Into Arts

[URIS id=13534]

Art Council wishes to thank the many talented drama, music and visual art students for participating in our second annual spring arts launch-Spring Into Art.  This informal lunchtime event seeks to announce the many senior, culminating arts events that we have to look forward to each year: Maytime Melodies, the Graduating Art Exhibition, and Lunch Time Theater.  This year drama students provide entertainment for lunchtime sun seekers on the field with their inquisitive miming, and 5 teams of visual artists competed for Above Ground Art Supply gift certificates with their colourful chalk drawings while a busker provided tunes.  The winning team was “L18” made up by grade 11’s  Lauren Conover and Angela Vang with their ‘Dali-inspired’ depiction of spring!  Thanks again for a terrific Arts Launch!  See you next year!

Final Parent Council Meeting – May 11- tonight!

Please come to our final meeting of the 2014-2015 school year to hear Kate Jones, B.A. (Psychology), M.Ed. speak on the topic “Understanding My Kid’s Behaviour”. Kate will help us understand the natural differences in the temperament of our kids that will lead us to a greater appreciation and acceptance of our children’s behaviors. This presentation encourages you as parents to participate in a seminar that will help you move from conflict to appreciation of your children. Kate is a founder and owner of Kate Jones & Associates, an organization that provides leadership in understanding what motivates positive behavior in different personality types.

Monday, May 11th, 7:30 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.
