An advanced course in Latin language and Roman culture, through study of  increasingly complex Latin stories in the textbook and original Latin poetry and prose, as well as English articles.

Roman authors studied include Martial, Catullus, Horace, Ovid and Petronius.

Cultural topics include the city of Rome, Roman religion and philosophy, Roman social and political organization, Roman builders and architecture.

Researched cultural projects on the city of Rome and historical novels train students in skills useful for university.
