Rick Walsh (\u201879) designed a goal mask for Toronto Maple Leaf goalie Mike Palmateer. When Rick was a teenager, he painted goalie masks for players at the North Toronto arena. He was a big fan of Palmateer, who was playing Junior A at the time for the Toronto Marlboros. <\/p>\n\t<\/div>\n\n\t\n\t

Emily D’Angelo wins second Juno<\/a><\/h2>\n\n\t\n\t
\n\t\t

Canadian mezzo-soprano Emily D’Angelo earned her second Juno Award last month for her album freezing. The win caps off an extraordinary 2024-25 season for the NTCI alum, who recently received critical acclaim last fall for her starring performance in the new opera Grounded at the Met Opera.<\/p>\n\t<\/div>\n\n\t\n\t

NTCI marks Remembrance Day<\/a><\/h2>\n\n\t\n\t

The North Toronto CI school community marked Remembrance Day in a moving ceremony on Friday, November 10. This annual service is sponsored by the Foundation, which was recognized in the program, and Advisory Board chair Ron Wakelin was honoured to participate by reading In Flanders Fields.<\/p>\n\t<\/div>\n\n\t\n\t
