If an online service provider gets hacked, the hacker has gained unauthorized access to your private/personal information that you entered while creating the account to access that particular service provider. This puts you at risk for identity theft and credit card fraud.



2. What are some ways to decrease the likelihood for your account being hacked and your password being cracked?

When creating a password, it is best to include special characters and symbols and use a combination of letters and numbers. It is also beneficial to change your password frequently.



3. How can you help protect,backup, and prevent your information for being hacked?

You can install anti-virus software to protect your computer from developing a virus. You can back up your data by copying files or using a passport. Lastly, you can use a firewall to prevent your information from being hacked or stolen.
