  1. Yes, the ten commandments of computer ethics are reasonable because they highlight many vital parts of the essence of Computer Ethics. They also provide guidelines for online activity of a regular user. However, it is arguable that they are too general and, consequently, do not get in to the specifics of the issues. Also they provide minimal rationale which can restrict one's understanding of why these are guidelines.
  2. Hacking is not justifiable in most cases due to the ease in which hacking software can end up in the wrong hands and the privacy issues associated with it. Yet, in some cases it is ethical to hack someones device, these situations are rare but, gaining information that could serve a greater issue such as saving lives could justify invasion of privacy. This is still a slippery slope because once authority has special rights, in regard to hacking, everyone will desire those same privileges.
