   Technology allows long distance communication, it helps you do work more efficiently (i.e. typing, finding information quickly rather than searching through books, etc.), and it helps you learn skills online (i.e. Webcast/Webinars, E-courses, etc.).

   As beneficial as technology is, it has many negative effects. It can lead to cyberbullying through Instant Messaging and social media, it provides easy access to inappropriate/illegal information, and all your personal information that is stored on the computer can be hacked into/stolen.

3. What are the two main countries listed in this article that are not involved in this technological era as much as everyone else? Explain how.

   Haiti is not involved in the technological era as much as they are still recovering from the earthquake in 2010 and many other fights for freedom, draining out their economy. North Korea, however, is not as involved in the technological era due to limitations and restrictions made by the Supreme Leader, Kim Jong-Un.
