| Our school community has shown once again that they care. The results are in from our Charity Week endeavours. NT student, staff and parent generosity has helped to raise $51,600! This is phenomenal, and the highest amount we have ever raised. Spread the Net will receive the cheque Wednesday, March 28th at lunch!

| Sears Drama Festival |
| NT’s One Act Play, Fractions.... written & directed by grade 12 Christina Atkinson will be performed on Tues. Feb. 21st at 7 pm. at Dante Aleghieri Academy (60 Playfair Ave.) as part of the Sears Ontario Drama Festival. Purchase tickets in advance for $8 from Ms Boutilier, Mr. Davis, or from cast members. Tickets will also be available at the door.

Most music students will be involved in Kiwanis competitions at the end of February:
- Junior Band (Gr. 9 & 10) – Feb. 25th
- Choral Ensemble & Chamber Choir (Gr. 9 - 12) –Feb. 28th
- Symphonic Band (Gr. 11 & 12) - March 1
All string groups are competing in Kiwanis here at North Toronto on Wednesday, February 29th.
- 9:30am - Symphony Orchestra (Gr. 9 -12)
- 10am - Junior Strings (Gr. 9 & 10)
- 2pm - Senior Strings (Gr. 11 & 12)

| NT’s Jr. Girls’ Basketball Team – TDSSAA City Champions, for the 2nd Consecutive year |
On Tues., Nov. 15, 2011, our Jr. Girls’ Basketball Team wrapped up a perfect season with a big win of 61 to 12 at the City Championships against Downsview SS. Congratulations ladies to both you and your coach, Curtis Anderson, for an excellent season. Your amazing basketball skills, hard work, great teamwork, and positive attitude throughout the season have been an inspiration to us all.

Parent Teacher Interview Day is on Thursday, November 24th from 2:00 pm to 4:30 pm and from 6:00 pm to 8:30 pm. Please look for the logon code and instructions in teh report card on November 17th. Sign-ups for interviews will be done electronically starting on November 17th at 6:00 pm until November 23rd at 6:00 pm. Please note that this year\'s sign up system is different from last year\'s system and you MUST use the code supplied with the report card. | Jr. Girls Basketball - South Regional Champions |
Our Jr girls’ basketball team has been an unstoppable force all season. They have dominated every team that has played against them, averaging 30-40 points lead per game! Yesterday, the girls’ unmatched talent and exceptional teamwork on the court resulted in them winning the South Regional Championship against Leaside (72 to 27). Congratulations to the all girls and their coach, Curtis Anderson, for a fine season so far. Well done and good luck at the City Championship.
