Guidance

Guidance exists to support students.  Students frequent our office to discuss any matters of concern, but most centre around issues of personal well-being, family, academics, and post-secondary destinations.  Students should never feel intimidated to approach us, and parents should also feel welcome to call us any time about a matter of importance. Counsellors are assigned by student surname; please refer to the list above to determine who is your counsellor.

We are well staffed with a school psychologist and social worker, both of whom are available with a referral from our Guidance team.  We also employ a youth counsellor from Delisle Youth Services on Mondays and Fridays who is available without an appointment or referral.  She works out of the itinerant counsellor's office (the door to the immediate right of the Guidance entrance) on these two days.

Student Mailing Lists

• The NT Student mailing list keeps all NTCI students (Grades 9 to 12) informed of Guidance news including volunteer and employment positions, enrichment opportunities, and important dates.  Sign up for our weekly newsletter by clicking on the "Mailing Lists" link to your left.
• The NT Grads mailing list will be added to the Alumni list in the fall of each year after Commencement notices go out.
• After Commencement, the current graduating class should sign up for the NT Grads mailing list, but not before.
• Some e-mail will filter our newsletter in your 'junk' mail box (to avoid this, allow mail from ntci.on.ca).  Be sure to check there if you are not receiving our weekly e-mailing.
