Theatre Improv Club

Advisors: Mrs. C. Boutilier, Mr. G. Davis
Student Heads: Richard Huggessen
Usual Meetings: We meet each Wednesday during lunch hour (11:55 to12:30 pm) in Rm. 115.
We begin September 28 and running until May 31st.

Aims:

Our aim is to create extra-curricular drama activity for all N.T students. This club focuses on learning new drama skills while meeting other N.T creative types, in a fun and social environment.

Opportunities:

All students who are involved in this club will have the opportunity to actively participate in a club which involves everyone working collectively to create theatre using improvisation as a basis. There is no experience necessary.

There are structured drama games, exercises, and activities that many students will be familiar with. There will be many new, exciting exercises and activities will be led by our student leaders and drama advisors.

Club Activities:

Organize a club outing: This could be arranged informally for an evening show. In the past, the club went out to Big City Improv and Second City shows. Tickets are available for group bookings, and are paid by each individual club member. These shows are a great opportunity to see some of the most talented improvisers in Canada. This outing is arranged in advance by the team captains.

Guest artists:

yet to be announced for 2012 – 2013.
